Apeejay School, Noida soars higher
Apeejay School, Noida organised a series of programmes
and activities to mark the beginning of its silver jubilee celebrations.Anju
Jain,former captain of the Indian women's cricket team inaugurated
the Inter-Apeejay Sports meet-2006. Over 300 students of the Apeejay
schools from all over India participated in several track and field
events. The school also celebrated its founder's day, commemorating
the 87th birthday of Dr. Stya Paul, the founder chairman of the
Apeejay Education Society.The occasion was graced by a delegation
from UK, as part of collaboration between Apeejay Schools cluster
and the schools from UK which marked the beginning of partnersguo
for Scholastic,Cp0Scholastic and leadership programme under the
UKERI. Mr. Michael, Mr. Edward, Ms. Isabel and Ms. Lousia, alongwith
principals, Dr. Rajesh Hassija lid the ceremonial lamp, which was
follwed by a mesmirizing jugalbandi of flute, sitar and tabla by
the students. Achievers in academic and co-curricular fields were
awarded by chief guest R K S Rathore, IPS, SSP, Noida on the occasion
of appreciation day. Students presented a cultural programme including
a song titled 'the melody of life' and a dance performance 'mere
vatan ke naam'. The principal conveyed the message sent by Sushma
Berli, the vice-president of Apeejay Education Society, to the entire
academic fraternity.
DAV Public School, Shreshtha Vihar, organised a career fest
- Confluence, with the aim to help students in broadening their
horizons for a success0ful future. Numerous educational institution
had set up their stalls to disseminate career information to the
students and parents. Experts - Dr. Neeti Kapoor, T.K.Home and Jitin
Chawla conducted several career related workshops during the day.
They also listed about 30 different careers in five groups such
as people based, creative career, physical/outdoor career and science
based. P C Bose was the chief guest for the occasion and Sameeksha
Sharma, co-ordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
