the 8th Annual Principal's Meet on 15th July,2006 at the Taj Palace
Hotel, New Delhi. Over the years, this event held exclusively for
princials has included interesting and innovative performances such
as 'Tiranga', a poetic description of the national flag. 'Distress

This year the very popular satire "Taj Mahal ka Tender" was presented
by IPTA- The Indian Peoples' Theatre Association, Mumbai. It was
an interesting portrayal of the current political and bureaucratic
scenario in India through the plot which explores the possibility
of Shahjahan coming alive and giving orders to construct the Taj
Mahal in tody's milieu. The bureaucratic machinery, with its customary
red tape, comes into action, bringing to the play wit, sarcasm and
humour.
Performed for the first time in the Capital, with the original
cast, the play revolves around Emperor Shah Jahan's desire to construct
a mausoleum in the memory of his beautiful deceased wife Mumtaz.
The story is a satire on the corrupt system and really amused the
distinguished invitees.

and some of the highlights of the coming academic year.

that I acted in one of my first movies, 'Chashme Baddoor'", he said
and added, "I would really like to thank PACE for inviting us since

the Principals a treat like this is an effort worth lauding".
